Family Case Management offers a strengths focused, community-based intervention to youth and their families who have experienced a domestic violence event and are in need of crisis intervention, parent education and/or short-term case management to reduce family conflict and prevent removal of their children from their home.

Family Case Managers meet face-to-face with each family on a weekly basis for 2 to 4 hours/week to:

  • create/review safety plans
  • conduct strengths/needs assessments
  • review and set goals
  • educate family members about the cycle of violence
  • provide appropriate referrals to resources
  • and advocate on the victims’ behalf for services.

The key to the Program’s services are the relationships formed between the Case Manager and their clients that allows clients to feel empowered and realize their own inner strength.
